Haunted Plantation Tour

Once our motor coach departs from the Historic Huntsville Depot at 9:00 AM, we will travel to Tennessee where we will be met by Colonel Adam Southern who will chill and thrill us throughout the day with Maury County ghost stories!  Our first stop is the circa 1838 antebellum home known as Elm Springs.  Union soldiers left a burning broom as a parting gift, but before the home could be consumed by fire, Confederate soldiers extinguished it!   Haunted?  We'll see.
Next we will have lunch at the Athenaeum Rectory where costumed hostesses willl acquaint us with various mourning customs of a bygone era.  Our delicious lunch consists of chicken with an apricot glaze, various vegetables, salad, and banana pudding for dessert.  What more could a mortal ask for?
We will then travel to the Rippavilla Plantation for a haunted tour, ghostly cookies, and a spirited refreshing drink prepared by the Pie Sensations. Perhaps we will hear the sound of Confederate footsteps, a residual haunting leftover from the horrible battle of Frankllin.  We will return to Huntsville around 6:00 PM.  $80.00 per person includes, motor coach, historical guides, lunch, and all entrance fees.

High Tea Plantation Tour

September 26
This is our most popular tour!

This is a drive through Limestone County by motor coach, past Antebellum homes that are privately owned.  Your costumed tour guide will share stories of the lives of those who lived in these homes during the Civil War - stories of love, hope, despair, mystery, and mayhem.  You will then travel to the Pleasant Hill Plantation, tour the home, and be served a traditional English High Tea, complete with scones, Devonshire cream and lemon curd.  Costumed hostesses will share information about the history of high tea, going back to the 17th century.
Space is limited and reservations are required.  256-527-2488, $60.00 per person
We also do this tour for private groups with a minimum of 35 people.
