I grew up in Montgomery, AL, and spent sixteen years living and travelling extensively
throughout Europe and the Near East prior to moving to Huntsville, AL in 1996. While abroad, I raised three wonderful
children, lectured in colleges and universities, and authored and edited a guide book on the historical sites of south central
Turkey. Mostly, though, I had fun exploring the areas in which I was blessed to live with my husband and children, getting
to know the people, and learning to love their cultures.
What makes my tours so unique is the attention to detail along with combining
interesting historical descriptions and stories with local attractions, restaurants, and shopping. If you're a history
buff and wish to explore historical treasures, or if you're just looking for a fun and unique way to spend the day, I want
to talk to you. You will find yourself captivated with stories that will transport you to a bygone era as you are introduced
to the colorful characters and events that shaped our past and its legacy. Combine this with great shopping and lunch,
and you have a fabulous way to spend the day!
In addition to custom designing tours for you, your church, business, or orgnization,
I can also put together field trip excursions that will enhance the school curriculum of your children or your students.
Learning should be fun - what I remember most about being in school was the wonderful trips we took outside of the classroom
and how excited my teachers were to share these new places and adventures with me and my classmates.
Our History
Historical Pursuit tours were first established when I was living in Europe and
the Mediterranean. My friends knew I loved history and adventure and asked me to provide them with
entertaining and historically enriching excursions. Wanting to continue to share my passions for History, I brought
Historical Pursuit to Alabama and the SE region. I'm an Historian by professional training with an MA in History from
Auburn University and I'm an Alabama Film Commission member. (You'd be amazed at the number of major motion
pictures that have been filmed in Alabama!)
